Amy and Tim met the summer between their freshman and sophomore year of college while working at the same small, family-owned amusement park in the Capital Region of Upstate New York. Yes, this is a teenage carny love story. They've spent the past 16+ years visiting new places and eating everything in sight. Amy, a vegetarian for over 20 years, is not afraid of getting her hands dirty while whipping up a tasty marinade for Tim, who is decidedly not a vegetarian.
In their weekday lives, Tim is a middle school principal with a deep love of sandwiches and Amy is an elementary school counselor who obsesses over homemade croutons and babka. They live with their rescued boxador (half lab/half boxer) Jim, who pulls his weight in the kitchen by keeping the floor clean.
